Registering for a username will identify you, allow you access to all types of online training resources, save your progress, and qualify you for certification through our online training platform.
Simply follow the steps below:
a. Go to www.unitedpatientsacademy.org/register
b. Sign up – Fill out the required fields (designated by *) with your information, and finalize with the “Register>” button
c. Activate your account - Check the email you provided in your registration form (double-check the Spam folder) and click on the link in the verification email sent to you
d. Check your email once more for a final message confirming your registration
Double-check that your username and password match those provided previously in your registration, including no spaces.

Our platform offers PowerPoint presentations with audio explanations by international experts who share important insight, life experiences and valuable recommendations with users; each course will be followed by an exam which, if passed, will enable the user to become certified in the relevant course.
The user will be able to go through each course and do exams at his/her own pace and from the comfort of his/her home or office in any location or country around the world.
Each course is made up of 3 modules and covers one of the five core issues in health NGOs:
• Strategic planning
• Patient and volunteer management
• Successful fundraising
• Targeted communication
• Advocacy
After going through all 3 modules of a course, you will have two opportunities to pass a short exam, in which you will test the knowledge you’ve acquired through the course and become certified in the relevant course.
If you pass an exam with 3 out of 5 correct answers, the platform will generate a downloadable, printable certificate of successful completion that will certify you in the relevant course.
No, training and certification are completely free of charge.
Trainings offered through our platform offer an excellent training strategy for directors and personnel working in NGOs; likewise, they also offer a great introductory training tactic for advocates new to working in health-oriented NGOs.
Modules generally have a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
There is no time limit; the platform was designed to be adaptable to your personal pace. You can pause the presentation whenever you feel necessary, including when you turn off your computer.
When you wish to resume your training, you need only enter your username and password; the platform will allow you to resume the module or course from the point where it was paused.
In order to utilize our training platform, including browsing slides and listening to audio recordings, you will need Adobe installed. If you do not have this program installed, you can get it for free on:
Yes. If at any point you need to stop and go back to a slide, or if you are not concerned with the content of the current slide, you are able to control the slideshow as you desire.
There are several ways to manually control the slideshow presentation:
• Control the slideshow slide-per-slide using the presentation toolbar:
- To advance to the next slide before the audio from the current slide finishes;
- To go back to the previous slide;
- To pause the current slide, and to resume.
• To jump a specific slide, use the “Search” tab located on the right side of the screen, where all the slides of the course in-progress are listed by title.
Yes. You can enable or disable the sound in a presentation and control its volume with the button in the presentation toolbar.
